What is a typical day at college like?

The first thing that I do when I get into college, is eagerly await the cafeteria opening so that I can get my breakfast to kick-start my day and fuel me throughout my first two classes. During lunch, I often sit chatting with my friends or we revise our notes from our classes and do any catching up if needed. This is normally a very slow-paced study time due to the fact we tend to wander off with conversations. After I finish college for the day, I head off to the gym.

What’s your favourite thing about your course?

Besides the social aspects of the course, I really enjoy learning how efficiently businesses are being run. I also like learning about the rights we have as consumers and learning completely new skills. My most favourite thing about the course, however, is the wide range of subjects that we cover - from Law to Financial Accounting. All the subjects within the course open up new doors that I can now go through if I ever want a different career path.

Have you enjoyed studing at Perth College UHI?

Yes! Overall I have enjoyed my time at Perth College UHI as I have made a lot of friends, made a lot of memories and I have also learnt a lot through the course. I personally find the course very fun and engaging as the subjects we cover in the course are always a challenge, which I quite like. The lecturers are also all very lovely people, who are incredibly helpful and always very approachable and polite.

What do you like about the campus?

I really like what the campus has to offer and the gym that Perth College UHI has is incredible - especially for the price. Perth College UHI also has amazing study spaces that you can use for a bit of peace and quiet to do your work in. Plus, there is always a Costa on campus to fuel you with coffee whilst you study.

What advice would you giver to anyone thinking of studying at Perth College UHI?

I would recommend for anyone thinking about studying at Perth College UHI to just come in, have a look around and to take in as much information as possible from the people who are readily available. If you think it's the place for you, then you should look at the courses the college has to offer.

Do you have any other interests or hobbies outside of college?

I am majorly into fitness and computers. I am hoping to potentially venture off into more cyber security and eventually become a qualified Ethical Hacker, running my own cyber security company.
