How to make Chocolate Chip Cookies

Try out this really simple and delicious cookie recipe from Perth College UHI Graphic Designer, Stewart.

“You can try all sorts of chocolate, or other sweets as a filling, but Galaxy chocolate chunks are the best if you ask me 😃”

Ingredients

  • 1 large bar of chocolate

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1 egg, lightly beaten

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 300g self-raising flour

  • 125g caster sugar

  • 100g light brown soft sugar

  • 125g butter, softened

Step by step guide

Step 1: Wash your hands for at least 20 Seconds

Step 2: Cream 125g caster sugar, 100g light brown soft sugar and 125g softened butter

Step 3: Lightly whisk 1 egg

Step 4: Add whisked egg and 1 tsp vanilla extract to the butter and sugars

Step 5: Add 1/2 tsp salt

Step 6: Sift 300g flour and mix

Step 7: Chop chocolate as shown, and add to mixture

Step 8: Wash your hands for at least 20 Seconds

Step 9: Divide into balls slightly bigger than a golf ball. Each one should weigh approx 50g

Step 10: Place on greaseproof paper, as shown

Step 11: Bake at 190oC for 7 minutes

Step 12: Allow to cool for 10-15 minutes, before moving to a plate or storage tin

Step 13: Try not to eat them all :) They are best eaten withing 24 hours of baking
