In our second Popular Music Student Spotlight, this week, we chat to Nina.

We love hearing of our students’ career success, in the commercial world. This week, we are catching up with three of our Popular Music students - to hear about their time at Perth College UHI. First up, we have Grant.

This year’s Mental Health Awareness Week theme is ‘Nature’, and the Mental Health Foundation have shared some of their findings and hopes for this awareness day. It has never been more important for us to be able to access nature, than during the pandemic. Allowing ourselves to enjoy some outdoor space, and connect and interact with nature, is what counts

Our Music and Music Business courses provide a springboard to employment within this creative and diverse sector. Inspired by the opportunities on offer, Helena decided to pursue her passion for music at Perth College UHI. We had a chat with her, to find out a bit more about her journey.

This month we caught up with Clive, our Chef Lecturer from the Food Studies and Hospitality department. His students describe him as a knowledgeable, friendly, enthusiastic and helpful lecturer. Clive has a real passion for cooking, and is always encouraging his students to do their best. Let’s get to know him a little bit better.

For this month’s Staff Spotlight, we caught up with Sport and Fitness Lecturer - Ollie James - who has worked at Perth College UHI for over a year now. His colleagues describe him as a very funny guy - who dresses up as a dinosaur for team meetings - as well as hard working, conscientious, and caring towards his students. Ollie gives us an insight into his job roles, and his particular dislike of cheese.
